When Utah Blaine (Rory Calhoun) rescues Joe Neal (Ken Christy) from being lynched by a pack of land-grabbing vigilantes, Joe hires Utah as his ranch foreman. Aided - at first - by only a fellow gunslinger, Utah gradually rallies the townsfolk to his cause for a climatic showdown with Russ Nevers (Ray Teal), his murderous henchman Rink Witter (George Keymas) and their pack of range-wolves.
