Calvin Clifford (CC) "Bud" Baxter (Jack Lemmon) is a minor clerk in a huge New York insurance company, until he discovers a quick way to climb the corporate ladder. He lends out his apartment to the executives as a place to take their mistresses. Although he often has to deal with the aftermath of their visits, one night he's left with a major problem to solve.

*** This colorized version is rare and wonderful. Very few prints of the colorized version of THE APARTMENT exist. After an extensive search we found what we believe to be the best one. We are pleased to make this available here on DVD. The quality is not a state-of-the-art re-mastered version - but it is very good and a treasure for those who truly wish to see this wonderful film. In 2001, Chicago Sun-Times film critic Roger Ebert gave the film four stars out of four and added it to his Great Movies list.
